New life for the holiday triangle: Bayrischzell optimizes tourism!
The communities of Bayrischzell, Schliersee and Fischbachau are working on closer cooperation in the tourism sector. Mayor Georg Kittenrainer of Bayrischzell supported the initiative and emphasized the need to make tourism contemporary. The neighboring communities had already worked together in the past under the name “Holiday Triangle”, and this cooperation is now to be renewed. Last year, an analysis of common tasks and future projects was carried out in collaboration with Regional Development Oberland (REO).
In this context, many areas where communities can work together have been identified. This includes the successor magazine “Schöne Zeiten” and various event programs. A central goal is to optimize tourism workload, especially with regard to new media, digital guest cards and online marketing. The decline in the cost of sending paper brochures already shows the trend towards digital solutions.
Cooperation and professionalism
The desired collaboration between communities is strengthened through professional meetings that have already taken place. A working group, coordinated by the REO, will develop the collected ideas and suggestions and make them available to the local councils. Kittenrainer emphasizes the positive relationship between the mayors and the tourism information. However, he also remembers previous attempts to integrate all the district's communities into a common tourism organization that failed. Despite these setbacks, he is optimistic that this initiative will bring positive results.
In the short term, the municipalities have set themselves an ambitious goal: to create an integrated solution for travelers that makes it easier to access regional offers. In this context, Helmuth Michelers' “All in ONE” concept is presented, which is intended to offer a platform that networks regional services and enables direct ticket purchases for activities. The mobile platform, available for both Android and iOS, is a central point of contact for information and mobility data.
Digital transformation in tourism
An essential partner in this digitalization process is Coyero, which has been working on the development of services since 2019. The challenge lies in integrating the providers' various access systems and linking the analog and digital worlds in order to create added value for guests. The app enables easy access to cultural, mobility and excursion destinations through map overviews and configurable filters. Tickets can also be used as public transportation tickets, giving guests seamless access to attractions without long wait times.
The communities of Bayrischzell, Schliersee and Fischbachau are therefore not only faced with the challenge of optimizing their tourism structures, but also with the opportunity to take on a pioneering role in digital tourism.
