New life for the holiday triangle: Bayrischzell optimizes tourism!
Bayrischzell, Deutschland - The municipalities of Bayrischzell, Schliersee and Fischbachau are working on a closer cooperation in the tourism sector. Mayor Georg Kittenrainer von Bayrischzell supported the initiative and emphasizes the need to make tourism up to date. The neighboring municipalities had already worked together under the name "Vacation triangle" in the past, and this cooperation is now to be renewed. Last year, an analysis with regard to joint tasks and future projects was carried out in cooperation with the Oberland regional development.
In this context, many areas were identified in which the communities can work together. This includes the successor magazine "Beautiful Times" and various event programs. One central goal is to optimize the tourist workload, especially with regard to new media, digital guest cards and online marketing. The decline in the effort for sending paper brochures already shows the trend towards digital solutions.
cooperation and professionalism
The intended cooperation between the municipalities is strengthened by professional sessions that have already taken place. A working group, coordinated by the REO, will develop the collected ideas and suggestions and provide the municipal councils. Kittenrainer emphasizes the positive relationship between the mayors and the tourism information. However, he also remembers earlier attempts to integrate all communities of the district into a joint tourist organization that failed. Despite these setbacks, he is optimistic that this initiative will bring positive results.
In the short term, the municipalities have set themselves an ambitious goal: creating an integrated solution for travelers that facilitates access to regional offers. In this context, the concept "All in One" by Helmuth Michelers is presented, which is intended to offer a platform that networked regional services and enables direct ticket purchase for activities. The mobile platform, which is available for both Android and iOS, represents a central contact point for information and mobility data.
digital transformation in tourism
An essential partner in this digitization process is Coyero, who has been working on the development of services since 2019. The challenge lies in the integration of various access systems of the providers and in the linking of the analog and digital world in order to create added value for the guests. The app enables easy access to cultural, mobility and excursion destinations through overviews and configurable filters. In addition, tickets can be used as driving tickets for public transport, which gives guests seamless access to attractions without long waiting times.
The municipalities of Bayrischzell, Schliersee and Fischbachau are not only faced with the challenge of optimizing their tourist structures, but also before the opportunity to take on a pioneering role in digital tourism.
