Aby Reisen insolvent: DRSF secures compensation for travelers!
On April 15, 2025, the tour operator Aby Reisen went bankrupt, which posed problems for numerous travelers. Aviation Direct reports that the German Travel Security Fund (DRSF) is stepping in in this critical situation and has confirmed its liability. Travelers who booked package holidays with Aby Reisen can expect compensation, as payments already made for the affected trips will be refunded.
The DRSF has announced that it will actively contact the affected customers. This happens as soon as Aby GmbH has transmitted contact and payment information. Travelers can expect refunds to begin within a few weeks.
Information about canceled trips
On May 16, 2025, all trips by Aby Reisen that had not yet started were canceled. The affected travelers were informed promptly so that they quickly received clarity about their situation. At the time of the bankruptcy, no customers were on vacation, which made a return campaign unnecessary.
In order to help affected travelers with questions or uncertainties, the DRSF has set up a hotline that can be reached Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The telephone number is 0 30 / 2 58 98 72 53.
