Attention travel agencies: The flying classroom is conquering the Canary Islands!

On June 27, 2025, a novel initiative for young travel agency employees called “The Flying Classroom” was launched. RTK and Reiseland have launched this information trip format to promote exchange and personal development among employees under the age of 30. The focus is on your own discoveries and the opportunity to gain new experiences.

The first family trip recently took place to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, in which nine travel professionals took part. Tobias Zirpel, initiator of Reiseland/RTK, accompanied the trip and was very satisfied after the trip. He appealed to travel agency owners to send their junior staff on such information trips in order to expand their knowledge and experience.

An exciting travel experience

As part of the family trip, participants stayed at resorts in the Secrets and Dreams brands of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection. Particularly noteworthy was the stay, which also introduced the participants to the Preferred Club. The support of Condor, Sunny Cars and Fred Olsen helped organize the trip, which was a highlight for everyone involved.

What was unique about this trip was the ferry trip from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura, which many participants found to be a special experience. They described the feeling of being on a road trip and reported positive experiences they had in a group.

Feedback from participants

The feedback from participants was consistently positive. Many appreciated the successful combination of informative content, excitement and a strong group experience. This reinforces the idea behind “The Flying Classroom” and shows how important such initiatives are for the development of young talent in the travel sector.
