Revolutionary: The Technobus brings a party atmosphere to Thuringian festivals!
An innovative project is about to start in Laucha, Thuringia. The Technobus, a 19 meter long articulated bus, will be available at festivals and for private parties nationwide from the beginning of June. The idea comes from Max Glaser, the operator of the Wollschläger Reisen bus company, and was originally intended as a hobby. The conversion of the bus began in March 2024 and now has impressive features. For example, the seats were rebuilt, the walls were reinforced and an extensive music system with over 1,000 controllable LEDs was integrated.
The Technobus is designed for up to 100 people and offers a dance floor and a bar with a tap, refrigerator and sink. A DJ booth behind the driver's seat and even a table dance pole are also part of the concept. Max Glaser plans to initially use the bus at festivals such as the Ikarus Festival in Memmingen, the Glücksfühle Festival at the Hockenheimring and the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. The first public use takes place at a festival in Günthersleben-Wechmar, followed by the Thuringia Day in Gotha.
Availability and costs
Renting the Technobus is also possible for private parties, although the bus must remain stationary during the celebrations. Prices start at around 1,500 euros per evening, depending on factors such as travel, fuel consumption and staffing requirements. The company says the bus consumes 50 to 70 liters of diesel per 100 km. It is also possible to rent additional sound and lighting technology for outdoor areas. The bus exteriors are black and can be individually designed with advertising, logos or banners.
Conviviality and variety of music
The Technobus can play a variety of music genres and is not just limited to techno. Requests for pop, rock or house music are also welcome. The popularity of rave events, which have increased during the Covid-19 pandemic, has promoted the concept of the Technobus. On social media, the Technobus already has over 17,000 followers on Instagram, 12.6 thousand on TikTok and 11.5 thousand on Instagram.
The inside of the bus resembles a Berlin techno club. Raves can be held in unusual locations, making the Technobus a mobile alternative. However, converting and operating the Technobus is cost-intensive, which must be taken into account when pricing. Operator Wollschläger Reisen also offers other trips and tours, and a Spotify playlist for Technobus Germany complements the offer.
This Technobus represents a new type of celebration culture in Germany that builds on old traditions with innovative concepts. A surprising experience awaits everyone who wants to book the Technobus.
