Senior travel with heart: DRK offers supervised holiday experiences!

More and more older people want to take advantage of the opportunity to take carefree trips. The DRK district association Lippe e. v. offers accompanied trips especially for seniors. This initiative is particularly aimed at pensioners and people with health restrictions who often have difficulty going on holiday alone. Volunteer travel companions are available throughout the entire trip to ensure a safe and pleasant travel experience.

The travel destinations include popular places on the Baltic Sea, such as Boltenhagen, and on the North Sea, such as Cuxhaven, as well as nearby destinations such as Bad Brückenau and Bad Sassendorf. In addition, special trips are organized for Christmas and New Year's Eve, which are very popular.

Diverse offers for seniors

The DRK is just one of several providers that specialize in travel for seniors. Loud Senior Citizens Agency Frankfurt Other welfare organizations such as the Evangelical Regional Association of Frankfurt and Offenbach, the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO), the Malteser Relief Service and the Frankfurter Verband also offer various travel offers.

These trips include both day trips and longer trips domestically and internationally. Voluntary travel companions in particular make it easier for many older people to access such offers by offering support with organization and implementation. A number of organizations enable volunteer travel companions to prepare for their tasks through free training.
