Fantastic fjords and coasts: Mein Schiff 2 will soon set sail from Bremerhaven!
The cruise trip with the “Mein Schiff 2” starts on June 6, 2025 from Bremerhaven and promises extraordinary experiences in the breathtaking fjords of Norway. The first voyage takes you to remarkable destinations over twelve nights, including Bergen, considered the gateway to the fjords. The historic old town of Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a colorful fish market await travelers here.
Other stops on this first trip include the Geirangerfjord, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its steep rock faces and waterfalls. In Hellesylt, Molde, Honningsvåg, Trondheim and Ålesund, passengers will experience Norway's diverse coastal landscape. After this first trip, the ship returns to Bremerhaven before the second trip to Norway begins on June 18, 2025.
Variety of routes and innovations
The second trip will also last twelve nights and includes attractive stops such as Bergen, Geiranger, Hellesylt and Tromsø. The latter city, known as the “Paris of the North,” lies north of the Arctic Circle and is an ideal place to observe the Northern Lights. Two additional 12-night fjord trips are planned for July on June 30 and July 12, which include a new stop in Nordfjordeid. This place offers access to the Jostedalsbreen National Park, which is particularly interesting for nature-loving trips.
On August 5th, the “Mein Schiff 2” sets sail again, this time heading to Olden instead of Nordfjordeid and offering access to the Briksdalsbreen glacier. This will be followed by a twelve-night Western European tour on August 17th, taking in the cultural highlights of Cherbourg, La Coruña, Lisbon, Bilbao and Le Havre, among others.
Adventurous excursions along Norway's coast
Travelers can explore the ports on their own or through guided tours. In Bergen it is possible to use the mountain railway up Fløyen to enjoy impressive views over the city and the surrounding landscape. Geiranger offers a key vantage point for panoramic views with Eagle Road.
On August 29th there will be a seven-night tour called “End of Summer in Norway”. This trip takes passengers to Flåm, part of the Sognefjord region, famous for the Flåm Railway and the impressive fjord landscape that runs past waterfalls and rock faces.
Two more short cruises are on the program in September, taking passengers to Cadiz and Barcelona, among other places. The final journey finally leads to the Mediterranean and crowns a unique cruise experience.
