Surprising victory at the Lamera Cup: Scania France triumphs in Castellet!

As part of the Lamera Cup, there were exciting races at the weekend that featured surprising twists and strong performances from the teams. On July 13, 2025, the Scania France team won the long race in Castellet with car number 41. The team, which had originally expected to finish second, benefited from an unexpected turn of events when other teams made mistakes. With a time that was not published, they moved ahead of car No. 421 and celebrated a courageous triumph. Eric Darné, the spokesman for the winning team, expressed surprise at the unexpected victory, as they had lost a minute at the gas station that threatened to drop them to second place.

Particularly noteworthy was the rule violation by the organizer Wilfried Merafina, who was punished. Joffrey Dorchy, a driver with Team Scania, stayed behind the wheel too long during the race, which earned the team a 7th place overall. Car #80 from Continental Racing also ended up in 7th place and the reigning champions with the #1 Lamera were forced to retire from the race. Drivers like Joffrey Dorchy, Emmanuel Orgeval and others drove the vehicle to complete 205 laps in 7 hours and 1 minute. The Lamera 62 crossed the finish line with a very narrow lead and won with a gap of 1:16.855 minutes over second place L’Auto Leclerc. The Scania France team, which had a solid performance, had to make do with a 3-lap deficit.

The race result in Estoril was marked by technical problems and withdrawals by some teams. CTF Continental Racing retired during the race while L’Auto Leclerc struggled with technical difficulties.
