Unforgettable journeys: DS Automobiles presents the Jules Verne collection!

DS Automobiles presents a new and extraordinary vehicle collection inspired by the adventure stories of French author Jules Verne. The “Jules Verne Collection” will be available in German DS Stores from the end of July 2025, with orders possible as early as next week. The collection includes the DS 3, DS N°4, DS 7 and DS N°8 models, all of which feature unique design elements and specific plaques with Verne's signature.

Jules Verne (1828-1905) is known for his timeless works such as “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” and “Around the World in 80 Days.” Each vehicle in the new collection reflects the themes and characters of a specific novel. For example, the DS 3 Jules Verne is reminiscent of “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and is designed in the new color Lasurit Blue.

Inspiration and design

Inspired by Around the World in 80 Days, the DS N°4 Jules Verne features sculptural design and modern technologies. The DS 7 Jules Verne refers to “Five Weeks in a Balloon” and impresses with an exclusive body color (sapphire blue) and special design elements. Finally, the DS N°8 Jules Verne, inspired by “From the Earth to the Moon”, is equipped with special materials and technologies.

In addition to the design elements, the collection offers a variety of powertrain options, including electric motors, hybrid technologies (plug-in and mild) and turbodiesel, to suit different driver needs.

Prices and availability

The prices of the models vary depending on the type of drive:

• DS 3 Jules Verne: ab 34.990 Euro (Hybrid) und ab 43.500 Euro (E-Tense).
• DS N°4 Jules Verne: ab 41.640 Euro (Hybrid) und ab 48.900 Euro (Plug-In-Hybrid und E-Tense).
• DS 7 Jules Verne: ab 53.850 Euro (BlueHDi 130) und ab 61.410 Euro (Plug-in-Hybrid 225).
• DS N°8 Jules Verne: ab 76.700 Euro (FWD Long Range) und ab 80.300 Euro (AWD Long Range).

The vehicles will not only be available for purchase in the DS Stores, but also for test drives in order to experience the special features and innovative design of the new models up close.

The literary world of Jules Verne is also examined in a completely different context, particularly in the publication "L'Ile mystérieuse. Tome II : L'Abandonnée". This story follows Cyrus Smith and his companions who must survive on a desert island and explores trust, patience, and the contrast between individual loneliness and community. The combination of literary heritage and automotive innovations reflects the connection to French culture that DS Automobiles so strongly emphasizes.
