The tourism industry in Vienna recorded a record month in April 2025, which was accompanied by a significant increase in overnight stays and room occupancy. Sales for April 2025 have not yet been evaluated. Since the beginning of the year, overnight turnover has totaled around 226 million euros, an increase of 7% compared to the previous year.
Available hotel capacities
There were approximately 80,700 hotel beds available in April 2025, an increase of 5,700 beds compared to April 2024. The average bed occupancy was 59.4%, which also represents an improvement compared to the previous year (55%). Up to and including March 2025, the average room occupancy in the year to date was around 59% and bed occupancy was 45.4%.
