Scents of the world: Fragrant City opens pop-up candle store in Berlin!
In the middle of the vibrant life of the capital, a very special pop-up store opens today, October 16, 2025, at Marienburger Straße 14 A, 10405 Berlin. Fragrant City, founded by Veit Schütz, offers handmade scented candles and diffusers. The store is open until January 31, 2026 and promises an experience for all the senses.
Fragrant City products originated in Brooklyn in 2000, where Schütz developed the first candle lines together with friends. The craft of candle production has evolved since then and is carried out in the studio on Immanuelkirchstrasse in Winskiez. Each product is carefully crafted by hand.
Craftsmanship and sustainable materials
The philosophy behind Fragrant City is to use regional and sustainable materials. The candles are made from rapeseed wax, while the cotton wicks and biodegradable diffuser sticks are environmentally friendly. The refill bottles are also manufactured in glassworks quality. The fragrances in the collection come from high-quality perfume oils produced in Europe.
The fragrance collection includes six seductive compositions dedicated to internationally renowned metropolises:
- Berlin – Unter den Linden (Lindenblüten)
- Helsinki – Vappu (Maiglöckchen)
- Stockholm – Midsommar (Flieder)
- Paris – La vie en rose (Rosen)
- London – High Tea (Jasmin & Darjeeling Tee)
- New York – 24/7 (Grapefruit, Ingwer & Schwarztee)
Visitors to the pop-up store have the opportunity to talk to the fragrance designer in person to find out more about the inspiration behind the fragrances. In addition, a special opportunity is offered for the upcoming holidays: Shortly before Christmas, spontaneous “emergency openings” are planned for all those who are in acute need of presents.
