How to get to Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor?
To get to the magical Cambugahay Falls Siquijor you have two options. Here's the breakdown.
Option 1: Cambugahay Falls + Heritage Tour
If you're short on time or just want to see the best highlights of Siquijor, including a visit to Cambugahay Falls and the epic Salagdoong Beach, then it might be a good idea to book a tour.
Note that you can try your luck finding a guide in San Juan. Or, if you are still in Dumaguete, then the one below is definitely the best you will find. It has hundreds of bookings and a 4.9/5 star rating on Siquijor.
This trip includes:
This trip is really affordable and can actually be cheaper than doing things independently.

Option 2: Independent option
For those of you who are already on Siquijor and plan to stay a few days to explore the island, renting your own motorbike is by far the best way.
You can get one in the main tourist center of San Juan for 250-350 pesos per day. The drive from San Juan to Cambugahay Falls usually takes 25-30 minutes on the Circumferential Road.

The road is in good condition and you can park your motorcycle right next to the stairs to the waterfall (signposted). It only takes about 5 minutes to reach the main waterfall lagoon from the entrance.
If you don't want to rent a bike, you can always take a tricycle taxi to Cambugahay Falls. However, be sure to exchange at a fair price.

About Cambugahay Falls Siquijor (description)
Entrance fee: 10 PHP
Cambugahay Falls is a series of 3-tiered waterfalls that flow into magical blue pools of crystal clear water. Once you arrive, you must pay the entrance fee of 10 PHP. Then you can explore and enjoy this beautiful place.
The cascading river comes from natural springs in the jungle interior. This clear, clean water flows for approximately 3 kilometers before emptying into the ocean at Lazi Bay.

The main attraction of Cambugahay Falls is the lowest level, where there is a wide, 2 meter high waterfall that cascades into a deep, blue pool (lagoon). There is a bamboo raft and a swing that the locals have prepared for your enjoyment.

It'll cost you 50 PHP each, but you can have unlimited turns - it's definitely worth it in my opinion!
When visiting, be sure to head upstream to see the other plains as well as the more remote cold springs and lagoons.
Tip: Cambugahay Falls is Siquijor's most popular attraction. Be sure to arrive early to beat the crowds! We got here just after sunrise and had the place to ourselves for over an hour!
