Cruise season 2025: Star Pride starts in Travemünde!
The 2025 cruise season in Lübeck-Travemünde has officially begun. On May 31, 2025, the cruise ship Star Pride from Windstar Cruises docked at Ostpreußenkai, marking the start of this year's season. With a length of 159 meters and a weight of 12,969 gross tons, the ship offers space for 106 guests in comfortable cabins. Star Pride is starting its 10-day cruise from Amsterdam to Copenhagen and has already made a first call in Hamburg on May 29th to 30th, 2025.
After the ship crossed the Kiel Canal on May 30, 2025, it stopped today on the picturesque coast of Travemünde. However, the 2025 cruise season is limited by the limited infrastructure, so that only a total of six cruise ship calls are planned in Lübeck-Travemünde this year.
Further calls in 2025
In the coming period, the following ships will head to the small but beautiful port in Lübeck-Travemünde:
- MS Hamburg (Plantours Kreuzfahrten) am 02.06.2025
- MS Europa (Hapag Lloyd Cruises) am 05.07. und 17.08.2025
- Le Laperouse (Ponant) am 22.08.2025
- MS Amadea (Phoenix Reisen) am 23.08.2025
The arrivals of ships are impressive despite the limited number: the size of the largest pier at Ostpreußenkai is 200 meters long and 25 meters wide, with a maximum draft of nine meters, which allows larger ships to berth. For example, the MS Amadea, which is 193 meters long and 25 meters wide, can dock without any problems.
Ostpreußenkai cruise terminal
The cruise terminal at Ostpreußenkai is centrally located in Travemünde, on the “Vorderzeile” street. It offers the capacity for ships up to 200 meters long and 25 meters wide. In June 2025, the terminal will receive, among others, the MS Hamburg, which arrives at 8:30 a.m. and leaves for Rönne at 6:30 p.m.
There are also exciting starts coming up in July and August. The MS Europa is eagerly awaited twice in August, while Le Laperouse and MS Amadea will also dock during the month. There is great anticipation for these calls, not least because of the picturesque coastal towns that the ships will visit on their journey.
The 2025 cruise season in Lübeck-Travemünde promises to bring a little bit of cruise magic to the Baltic Sea coast, despite the limited call options. Star Pride got off to a brilliant start, getting travelers in the mood for an unforgettable journey to the Nordic metropolises.
