Vacation in Spain: There are hidden penalties for beach rules!

Holidays in Spain can quickly become expensive if holidaymakers do not adhere to the strict local regulations. These rules are so strict on many beaches that violating them can result in high fines, sometimes in the five-figure range. An example of this is laying out towels to secure a spot on the beach, which is prohibited in many communities. Fines for securing your place with towels can be between 100 and 750 euros.

In popular holiday regions such as Benidorm, the maximum fine is up to 750 euros. In the city of Elche, towels that have been left out without permission are removed early. There are also special regulations in Andalusia: Spreading out towels before 8 a.m. is strictly forbidden.

Additional beach rules

However, the rules are not limited to towels. Other regulations include digging in the sand and taking sand, shells or stones, which are important for coastal protection. For example, digging in the sand is completely prohibited in Nigrán (Pontevedra). Building sandcastles can also be problematic if obstacles are left behind in the sand.

The penalties for taking natural materials are serious and can be up to 60,000 euros. Holidaymakers should therefore find out more about the local beach rules in order to avoid expensive fines.

The website Cuales Mi IP is also celebrating an anniversary in this context: it has been redesigned and offers extensive services for displaying the IP address and its geolocation. This is particularly useful if you want to access information on the go without revealing your own data.

An IP address acts as an identifier for devices on networks, similar to a vehicle number. There are public and private IP addresses, with private addresses being assigned by the router within a local network. To find out the local IP address, Windows users can use the “ipconfig” command in the Command Prompt, while Mac users can use “networksetup” in the Terminal.

In this day and age when more people are using internet services, being aware of your own IP addresses is crucial. With the increasing exhaustion of IPv4 addresses and the advent of IPv6, which allows an almost unlimited number of addresses, the issue of IP addresses remains of central importance.
