On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Kiel Week ends with a spectacular final production on the Kiel Fjord. This event, which has the motto “At Home Under the Stars”, is sponsored by AIDA Cruises and promises an unforgettable evening for visitors. The show starts at 11 p.m. and is accompanied by impressive lighting and fireworks effects.
During the entire Kiel Week, which takes place from June 20th to 29th, 2025, guests were able to admire numerous ocean-going cruise ships in the Kiel harbor landscape. In total there were 15 cruise ship calls, and on June 28th the remarkable 4,000th cruise call was reached.
An exciting finale
The grand finale is supported by the Bundeswehr and, in addition to the spectacular fireworks display, also includes a modern drone and laser show. A striking shipyard crane from German Naval Yards will be integrated into the lighting displays, giving the event an additional visual dimension. Boats on the water provide additional light and fog effects.
The Reventlou Bridge will be reserved for people with disabilities from 8 p.m. in order to give all spectators an optimal view of the action. Ferries can continue to operate regularly, so that visitors can easily get to the event site.
At 10 p.m., torchlight swimmers will jump into the water with glowing torches. You swim from the Reventlou Bridge to the seal basin on the keel line. Spectators are invited to imitate the movements of the torches with their smartphones in order to become part of the event.
