Aargau art gymnasts dream of EM podium-all eyes in Leipzig!

Leipzig, Deutschland - The tension increases, because the art of art gymnastics is just around the corner. From May 26th to 31st the important event will take place in Leipzig, in which Switzerland is represented by a total of eleven art gymnasts. Among these, the team has eight talents from the canton of Aargau, which have set high goals while taking on the challenge of international competition.

The brothers Luca and Matteo Giubellini, who both start at the STV Eien-Kleindtingen, are particularly focused on. Luca Giubellini, 22 years old, strives for his third European Championship participation and plans to qualify with a new, more difficult leap for the final. His focus is also on a strong team performance during the qualification. His younger brother Matteo, 20 years old, has already caused a stir with an impressive placement at the Olympic Games, where he took 10th place in the all -around. In Leipzig he wants to support his team and present his exercises solidly. After injury problems in the previous year, he developed additional motivation through a bronze medal on the bar in a competition in Doha.

Florian Langenegger, 22 years old and member of the STV Schlossrued, has set realistic goals and hopes for a top 8 placement in the team and a qualification for the all-around final. His focus is on the team dynamics, which is crucial for motivation. Noe Seifert, 26 years old and the most experienced in the team with his fifth European Championship participation, emphasizes that he would like to do his best without pursuing specific placement goals.

Among the other participants is Luca Murabito (22, Kutu Satus Oro), who is aiming for his return after shoulder surgery. His goal is to get the opportunity to start in the jump final with a clean performance. Anny Wu, 22 years old and team captain of the Swiss gymnasts, would also like to shine and is determined to make good exercises in all -around.

With her fifth EM participation, Anina Wildi (22, TV Lenzburg) is the first Swiss in several disciplines. She pursues the goal of helping the team and calling up her best. Daria Hartmann, the youngest participant in the team at just 18 years old, competes for the first time at an European Championship and also wants to show her talent to support the team.

at the last European Championship, which took place in Rimini, Matteo Giubellini just barely missed the podium. He reached the 4th place in the device finish on the horse powers with 14.600 points, only 0.200 points separated it from the bronze medal. Gold got Rhys McClenaghan from Ireland (15,300 points) and silver went to Loran de Munck from the Netherlands (14,933 points). Giubellini was able to place his solid exercise ahead of Oleg Wernjajew from Ukraine. On Saturday, two other Swiss gymnasts will compete, Luca Giubellini (jump) and Noe Seifert (bars and bars), who already drew attention to themselves in the qualification.
