Direction and production
The project is directed by Pierre Monnard and the script is written by Urs Bühler. The production is carried out by Zodiac Pictures in co-production with SRF and SRG SSR. Baptiste Planche, head of SRF fiction, plays a supporting role as co-producer. The producing team is complemented by the experienced Lukas Hobi and Reto Schaerli from Zodiac Pictures. The film adaptation also benefits from the support of the Federal Office of Culture, the Zurich Film Foundation and the cantons of Lucerne and St. Gallen.
Filming is planned for the end of July 2025 in the picturesque Emmental and Zurich. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on Valentine's Day in February 2026, followed by a broadcast in 2027 on SRF. This production is part of SRG SSR’s “Pacte de l’audiovisuel”, which invests over two million francs annually in feature film co-productions with SRF.
