Google Ads has come under massive criticism after a customer discovered that a Google campaign manager had reactivated inactive advertising campaigns on her own initiative - without the knowledge or consent of the person concerned. The perfidious scam: Ads were placed on a false website, while the entrepreneur concerned had horrendous sums deducted from his account. Particularly explosive: The responsible Google employee Alina B. (Name shortened for legal reasons), who was supposed to act as campaign manager, disappeared and refused any communication and didn't show up at the agreed appointment!
Google Ads: rip-off through questionable methods?
The affected entrepreneur, who operates several news portals, had only reactivated his Google Ads account in order to plan future advertising campaigns. But instead of a simple account verification, the shock followed: without his knowledge, an advertising campaign that had been inactive for years was activated on its own - with fatal consequences!

After Google overall 225.86 euros had collected in two debits, the entrepreneur made a binding appointment for an online meeting with the campaign manager. But she didn't show up for the appointment. The entrepreneur then requested an immediate refund and a statement via email. But there was no answer. Google was unimpressed by the clear request for clarification. Particularly significant: the responsible campaign manager Alina B. made all communication with the customer come to nothing.
"I expect your written statement within seven days, no later than February 8, 2025, including a legally binding statement on this incident. Public reporting on this matter is already being prepared." – but nothing happened!
Customer support? None! Even official letters are ignored
Not only did Google not respond to emails - even postal letters remained unanswered! Neither the manager nor official Google support responded.
The entrepreneur concerned did not put up with this. On March 2, 2025 A radical escalation followed: the complaint went to the EU Commission in Brussels, the procedure was sent to the handed over to the Federal Criminal Police Office and that White House in Washington received a detailed report on the scandal!
“Since you continue to refuse to answer, I have filed a criminal complaint against you personally for fraud and fraudulent misrepresentation, Ms. B. Both in Germany and in Spain, where you obviously reside.”

The case is no longer an isolated case! The entire Google Ads scam is now coming to light. Several affected customers report similar events: suddenly activated campaigns, unlawful debits and a wall of silence when it comes to complaints.
