The Carnival Firenze, a newest ship from the US shipping company Carnival, is now being used on short trips from Long Beach, near Los Angeles, to Mexico. Built in 2020, the ship offers a variety of leisure options and dining experiences based on an elegant Italian theme. Active holidaymakers and families will find numerous offers on board that are suitable for young and old.
Currently the prices for a 5-night cruise are affordable. The prices for an inside cabin started at €252 per person. Outside cabins are available from €295 per person, while balcony cabins can be booked from €419 per person. For guests traveling alone, there is the option of single occupancy in an inside cabin from €473. The price includes full board in the main and buffet restaurant as well as coffee, water, tea and iced tea during buffet opening times. Use of most on-board facilities and participation in the entertainment program are also possible at no additional cost.
Route and onboard offers
A sample itinerary for a September 9, 2025 departure departs Long Beach at 3:30 p.m. The first day at sea then takes passengers to Cabo San Lucas, where they can go ashore between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. On the fourth day there is another day at sea before the journey continues with a stop in Ensenada from 08:00 to 17:00. On the last day, the ship finally returns to Long Beach at 8:00 a.m.
The Carnival Firenze is 323 meters long and can accommodate around 4,100 passengers and 1,400 crew members. The onboard language is English and the onboard currency is US dollars. Additional expenses can be easily paid for using major credit cards. Flights to the west coast of the USA, for example, are available with Austrian Airlines and Swiss from Hamburg from €433 per person (plus €163 for 23 kg checked baggage).
Enjoyment and entertainment
The gastronomic variety on board is impressive. Guests can choose from a variety of restaurants, including the elegant Michelangelo and Medici Restaurant with three-course meals, as well as Il Viaggio, which offers traditional Italian dishes and cocktails. Other options include an Italian street food restaurant, La Strada Grill™, and Tomodoro™, which serves Mexican-Italian cuisine.
There is a wide selection of cocktails and snacks in the numerous bars such as Amari™, Rococó™ and Frizzante™. Particularly noteworthy are the Teatro Rosso, which offers classic theater performances with Playlist Productions, as well as the Tuscan Lounge, which is reminiscent of Tuscany. For the very young guests there are special children's areas such as Camp Ocean™, Circle “C”® and Club O2®.
In addition, the Carnival Firenze offers comfortable accommodations such as the Terrazza Staterooms with private decks and exclusive amenities. For active guests, recreational options include WaterWorks™, a water fun area, and SportSquare™, with a zip line, jogging track and mini golf. Relaxation can be found in the Cloud 9 Spa™ or the Serenity Retreat™, which is only accessible to adults.
