Huay Mark Liam Hot Source Chiang Rai

Huay Mark Liam Hot Source Chiang Rai

Huay Mark Liam Hot Spring is one of the many naturally heated lakes in the province of Chiang Rai. In the popular winter months, these hot sources are the perfect place to warm up after a cool waterfall bath - at least I thought.

Unfortunately, the hot source Huay Mark Liam in Chiang Rai is far too hot to swim in it. However, do not let yourself be stopped from stopping here. There are some other hot springs nearby where you can swim, and the national park, in which the hot springs of Huay Mark Liam are located, is worth a short visit.

This naturally heated pool is located in the Lam Kok National Park, about 40 minutes with the motorcycle from Chiang Rai. Although this area is not often visited by tourists, there are some great opportunities for adventures nearby, including a stop at the Huay Kaew.

Huay Mark Lum Hot Spring and the Lam Nam Kok National Park

When you arrive, you will find that this place is almost deserted. There is a well -kept garden, some local fishermen who throw in a few selected ponds, and of course the small and little impressive; Hot source Huay Mark Lum.

As already mentioned, this hot source at 56 degrees Celsius is far too hot for comfort. Trust me, you will definitely not want to put your feet in here.

If you are definitely looking for a warm bath, you can follow the drain through the park that leads to the river. I took a short bathroom, where the drain of the hot source hit the cold flowing water, which was refreshing.

The hot sources of Pong Phra SOET are also located in the Lam Kok National Park and are only 1 km from Huay Mark Liam. In fact, they pass these hot springs on their way.

However, these springs were converted into commercial operation and consequently lost their natural feeling. However, if you are off to a warm sulfur bath in Nordthailand, make a stop at the hot springs from Pong Phra. In contrast to the hot source Huay Mark Lum, you can swim, bathe and even cook eggs.

I attached the location of the hot sources of Pong Phra something to the Google Maps below.
