Vinh Long's Secrets: Tourism Blooms with New Attractions!
Vinh Long Province in Vietnam is embarking on a strategic reorientation of its tourism sector through a project running from 2020 to 2025. Loud vietnam.vn This project aims to develop special tourism products to revive the industry after the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The measures include building networks between different industries and regions to promote sustainable tourism development in Vinh Long.
One of the central elements of the plan is the integration of the traditional art form Hát Bội into tourism programs. This is intended not only to preserve cultural heritage but also to offer visitors authentic experiences. To meet different interest groups, four unique tourism products were identified:
- Homestay-Tourismus: Förderung von Privatunterkünften, die den ASEAN-Standards entsprechen.
- Agrartourismus: Unterstützung für OCOP-Produkte an sechs touristischen Attraktionen.
- Handwerksdorftourismus: Förderung des Tofu-Haut-Handwerksdorfes My Hoa sowie anderer lokaler Küchen.
- Kulturtourismus: Einführung von Reisezielgeschichten und Förderung immaterieller Erbes.
Positive forecasts and quality improvements
The forecasts for 2024 are promising, with an expected number of visitors of 1.85 million, which would exceed the 2019 figures. In order to achieve these goals, a focus will be placed on improving the quality of existing tourism products. There is also a call for investment in the development of tourism areas and night-time entertainment venues.
Another important point is to strengthen the training of tourism personnel to meet increasing demands. A plan to inventory these relics was therefore approved in order to better protect them and integrate them into tourism offers.
Promoting classical arts in tourism
An additional aspect of the tourism perspective in Vinh Long is the appreciation and preservation of the art of Hát Bội. In this context, a document was published on April 17, 2023 that addresses the protection and promotion of this art within developing tourism. This decree regulates the protection of personal data and provides provisions for its processing for Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals. The aim is to ensure that data is processed in accordance with legal requirements in order to protect the privacy of individuals.
