Among the 25 selected locations is a region in Rhineland-Palatinate, which once again presents itself as a tourist highlight. This region, the Ahr Valley, has experienced a serious natural disaster in the past, which was triggered by heavy rains and floods in July 2021. 135 people died in this accident.
