On Saturday, May 24th, an exciting excursion to Strate’s Brewery in Detmold took place. Organized by CN Reisen, the bus started at 7:30 a.m. from P&R Platz in Fröndenberg. The mood on the bus was consistently positive and all participants were looking forward to an eventful day. The destination was a traditional family business that is known for its beer culture and regional cuisine.
The Strate’s Brewery, which is located in one of the oldest half-timbered houses in downtown Detmold and was built in 1550, offers guests a unique ambience. Here, historical architecture, brewery elements and modern accents combine to create a special experience. In total, the brewery has around 150 seats, which can be used both inside and in the idyllic beer garden in the inner courtyard. This outdoor area is particularly inviting in summer and also offers play opportunities for children.
Guided tour of the brewery
Upon arrival at the brewery, guests were warmly welcomed by one of the two sisters who run the brewery. As the day progressed, the participants received an informative tour by a competent employee who reported in detail about the brewery and its history. The tour not only offered interesting insights, but there was also the opportunity for self-service at every stop.
The main goal of Strate’s Brewery is to make guests feel welcome and comfortable at all times. The offer not only includes tasty regional cuisine, but also freshly brewed beer, which is served directly from the private brewery. The successful combination of enjoyment and knowledge made the visit an unforgettable experience for all participants.
In summary, the day was concluded with a separate evaluation of the cozy part, in which the participants ended the day with good food and drink. The event once again highlighted how important tradition, community and enjoyment are in the brewing and culinary scene.
