If you are looking for beautiful, white sandy beaches and beautiful, calm turquoise water but would rather do without the crowds, I have just the thing for you. Boat Harbor is one of my favorite beaches in Tasmania and I consider this beautiful coastal town to be one of the best hidden jewels in the state.
admitted, this small coastal town is quite small. But that's how it gets its charm. This is the perfect place for a visit if you want to relax for an afternoon or even stay for a few weeks! In this guide I would like to cover everything you need to know about Boat Harbor Tasmania to help you plan your visit.

Where is boat harbor
Boat Harbor is an iconic coastal city in the north of Tasmania, which is washed up by incredibly turquoise water and a beautiful white sandy beach. The municipality is about 77 kilometers from Devonport or 47 kilometers from Stanley.

How do I get here?
Boat Harbor is very easy to reach because it is only a short detour from the Bass Highway between Devonport and Stanley. As in most regions of Tasmania, however, you need your own car to get here.
The best way to navigate to the boat harbor is to insert the Google Maps-PIN above. Otherwise, simply drive from Devonport on the Bass Highway to the west and turn on the "Port Road". Follow this street around the curve and turn right immediately afterwards. Then continue on this narrow section of the street until you arrive at Boat Harbor Beach.

Boatenhafen-Strand
Boat Harbor Beach must be one of the most beautiful beaches in Tasmania. This northern place is just as beautiful as the Bay of Fires or even the WineGlass Bay in the east, but is far from getting attention.
The beach at the boat harbor is lined with white sand, which drops into translucent turquoise water. This beach is a popular place for locals in the surrounding regions to enjoy a day on the beach, but is little visited by tourists.
