Winter hike on Wolletzsee: wild boar and fun for the family!

On January 26, 2026, the NaturFreunde are organizing an exciting hike along the picturesque Wolletzsee circular path. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. in front of the entrance to the GLG Fachklinik Wolletzsee GmbH in Angermünde. Participants can look forward to a five-kilometer hike, which partly leads along the shore of the winter-icy Wolletzsee and ends at around 12:00 p.m. at the Wolletzsee lido.

The hike not only offers participants a relaxing time in nature, but also a special gastronomic experience: from 12:00 p.m., hikers can enjoy wild boar on a spit and hot drinks, provided by UM Fleisch- & Wild GmbH, while stocks last. Various activities such as felt hat throwing and wooden ski fun provide entertainment, which will delight both children and adults.

Practical information about the event

The cost of participation is 5 euros for adults, while children, members of NaturFreunde and owners of Freienwalder spa cards can take part at a reduced price of 2.50 euros. Members of NaturFreunde Oberbarnim-Oderland e.V. and children with a Brandenburg family pass are free. These fees are in addition to the cost of the bus ride back from Wolletzsee Strandbad to Wolletz at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. The bus runs at the usual VBB tariffs plus a comfort surcharge of 1 euro per person.

The hike at Wolletzsee is an ideal way to experience the winter beauty of nature. [komoot] offers further information about hiking around Wolletzsee and gives tips on the best trails and attractions in the area.

Hiking experiences in the cold season

Winter hiking is a popular activity that draws many people into nature. The snow-covered landscapes and the quiet, magical atmosphere that the cold season brings with it are particularly attractive. In order to hike safely and well prepared, a few important points should be taken into account. Checking the routes for snow and ice conditions and taking into account daylight conditions are essential for pleasant hiking.

For beginners, it is recommended to start on prepared and flat paths. According to [naturfreunde], the Wolletzsee circular route is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the advantages of winter hiking without being overwhelmed. Recommended winter hiking essentials include winter hiking boots, warm clothing, a seat cushion for breaks, and an insulated bottle for warm drinks.

Anyone who makes their way to Wolletzsee can also look forward to an unforgettable natural experience and a festive atmosphere in which community is also very important. The NatureFriends are happy to have many participants who want to enjoy the joys of winter together.
