In Kosovo, the tourism sector is enjoying continuous growth. In March 2025, 40,239 guests were registered in hotels, representing an increase of 2.2% compared to the previous year. A notable aspect is that 62.5% of guests came from abroad, while 37.4% were locals albinfo.ch reported. In total, the hotels in Kosovo recorded 84,462 overnight stays, with 39.7% booked by local guests and 60.2% by foreign guests.

Pristina, the capital, was the most popular destination for domestic tourists with 4,931 guests, while the Peja region recorded a remarkable 14,562 overnight stays. The number of foreign visitors increased by 4.7% compared to the previous year and amounts to a total of 25,173 international guests. The largest groups of foreign visitors came from Albania, Turkey, Germany and Switzerland.

There was also a notable increase in overnight stays. These rose by 199.0% for domestic guests and by 37.0% for foreign guests. The Peja region recorded the most domestic visitors with 86,470 and a total of 409,293 overnight stays.

The statistics further show that 357,717 foreign visitors, mostly from Albania, Germany, Switzerland and Turkey, explored the country. An interesting fact is that a total of more than 6.4 million overnight stays by foreign visitors took place in Kosovo. This growth signals a sharp increase in international interest in Kosovo's tourist destinations.
