Parchim Hospital: 120 years of service to the region – an anniversary full of history!
The Parchim Hospital held an anniversary celebration to mark its 120th anniversary. It is considered a significant anchor for the region and has developed significantly since its founding in 1905. At the celebration on July 11, 2025, Health State Secretary Sylvia Grimm gave a moving greeting. She recalled that the clinic location once had to make do without a waterworks or electricity connection and can now boast modern, basic and emergency care close to home at a high medical level. Government MV reports that there are currently 135 planned beds spread across six specialist departments, which also include gynecology, surgery and an intensive care unit.
The Asklepios Group took over the clinic in 1998 and has since invested over 56 million euros in the further development of the location. This resulted in important improvements such as a new helipad, the technical renovation of the emergency room and digital documentation. Grimm thanked the employees for their tireless commitment and continuous service to the patients.
Modern medical care
The Parchim Hospital is also actively involved in training young medical professionals by acting as an academic teaching hospital. These initiatives contribute to comprehensive and qualified medical care in the region. Asclepius also offers online services that enable convenient use of medical information and improve access to radiological images for patients.
With continuous development and investment in modern technologies, the clinic ensures that it remains at the cutting edge of healthcare. The hospital's progress is reflected both in the quality of the treatments offered and in the satisfied patients.
