Creative minds in Quang Nam: Art and Culture in Change after 50 years of peace!
The Quang Nam Literature and Arts Creation Camp 2025 will take place for the first time this year in a semi -centralized form. Over 50 members from various disciplines gather to discuss the main topic of the camp: the development of the home country Quang Nam after 50 years of peace. The camp, which lasts almost 3 months, is limited to 3 days for excursions that give the participants deeper insights into the culture and nature of the region.
poet Nguyen Tan Ai emphasizes the multidisciplinary orientation of the camp and emphasizes the important exchange between the artists from different areas. The folklore researcher Tran van explains that the camp helped him better understand cultural relationships and folk art in Quang Nam. These interdisciplinary approaches not only promote the creative energy of the participants, but also enable the production of new works.
creative energy and new works
Many artists reported a noticeable increase in their creative productivity, some created up to 10-20 new works. These works of art not only reflect the beauty of the landscape, but also the development expectations of Quang Nams. The exhibits include:
- "Golden season at the summit of the NGoc Linh" by Le Trong Khang
- "Reflection of the river" by Nguyen dien ngoc
- "Sunset at the Phu-Ninh-See" by Nguyen Huu Tuan
- "City in the Clouds" and "Memories of the Night" by Huynh Ha
- "Gifts of the Sea" and "Ecotourism" by Tran Cong
The topics of the poems and pieces of music as part of the camp deal with their homeland and their changes after the war. These creative works have the potential to promote cultural awareness and proudly strengthen the traditions of Quang Nam. Different genres such as memoirs, short stories and critical theories also find their place in the camp.
A look at cultural identity
While art and cultural identity are celebrated in Quang Nam, on the other hand, there are considerable challenges for cultural goods worldwide. The Russian war against Ukraine results in a direct threat to museums, memorials and the architectural heritage of the country. The destruction of cultural assets is regarded as an attempt to deny and extinguish the independent roots of Ukraine, such as bpb.de
An example of the relevance of art in times of the conflict is the collection of Anatoliy Dymchuk, which is one of the largest art collections in Ukraine. It contains iconographic works by renowned Ukrainian artists: inside, with the focus on oppositional art from the 1960s to 1980s and contemporary art from the early 1990s to the present day. A lecture by Dymchuk's curator Maksim Kovalchuk will present selected works that reflect the history of the country and the struggle for self -determination and democracy.
Although the Quang Nam Literature and Arts Creation Camp ends, it opens up new creative ways and promotes the longings of the country. The dialogue about cultural identity and the protection of cultural assets are therefore of central importance to preserve the diversity and uniqueness of human experience.
