Art from Ukraine: Exhibition shows the Bergisches Land in a new way!
An inspiring vernissage awaits visitors to the Leverkusen City Library. Under the title “Creative Journey through the Bergisches Land”, 17 Ukrainian artists present their diverse impressions of the Bergisches Land. The exhibition is the result of a project by the Kunstkorb Bergisch-Neukirchen e. V. from 2023, which was directed by the artist Natalie Tumchenok. On June 4, 2025 at 4 p.m., the exhibition will be launched with a ceremonial opening in the main office of the city library.
The participating artists, aged 7 to 49, show their unique perspective on the region that was once part of the Grand Duchy of Berg. Her works reflect the traces of history, nature and culture and invite the viewer to discover the complex landscape. The artists are:

Vernissage and accompanying concert
The vernissage will be enriched by a live concert by Iryna Vysochan and Darina Vysotskaia with guitar playing and singing. Admission to the opening is free and prior registration is not required. The exhibition itself can be viewed from June 4th to July 3rd, 2025 during the city library's opening hours:
