Explora Journeys today announced that its new summer 2027 travel season will be themed “An Ocean of New.” This season, the innovative cruise ship EXPLORA IV will be introduced, adding another highlight to the existing fleet. The press release that is on Ships and cruises has been published, describes the plans for new and exciting routes as well as the destinations to be visited in the coming season.
The travel season will last from March to November 2027 and the Explora Journeys fleet will then include the ships EXPLORA I, EXPLORA II, EXPLORA III and EXPLORA IV. As a special highlight, Alaska will be integrated into the travel destination portfolio, with departures from Vancouver, Canada, as well as a variety of new European ports.
New adventures in Alaska
Travel to Alaska promises an unforgettable experience in untouched nature. Highlights include an 11-night Vancouver-to-Vancouver voyage that includes first calls in Sitka and Prince Rupert, and a 14-night voyage exploring the Alaskan wilderness, Hubbard Glacier and Kodiak. These trips offer passengers the opportunity to discover Alaska's breathtaking glaciers, forests and fascinating wildlife.
In addition to the adventures in Alaska, the routes in the Mediterranean are expanding. The EXPLORA I and II will offer over 60 possible voyages and visit new ports such as Istanbul, Algiers, Amalfi, Olbia, Trogir and Koper.
The luxurious design of EXPLORA IV
The future ship EXPLORA IV will feature a mix of cruise ship and luxurious yacht design. According to information from Planet Croisière The ship is powered by liquefied natural gas (GNL), which not only supports Explora Journeys' ecological ambitions, but also ensures a pleasant travel experience. The ship's architecture will be similar to the existing fleet, while luxurious suites with private balconies, various lounges and a pool will be available on board.
The ship also offers a variety of activities, ranging from sports to wellness to culinary delights. Passengers can look forward to international cuisine in numerous restaurants and bars, as well as facilities such as a spa, sauna, solarium and gym.
