New bike service stations in Bernau: Repairs now free of charge!

Bernau am Chiemsee, Deutschland - The ADAC cycling service stations are now also active in Bernau am Chiemsee. Today, on May 19, 2025, two new stations in this popular holiday region were put into operation. This ADAC initiative pursues the goal of creating a free bike service infrastructure that contributes to improving traffic safety and the attractiveness of bicycle traffic in southern Bavaria. The stations offer cycling, but also users of strollers, e-scooters and wheelchairs the opportunity to carry out smaller repairs themselves.

The new bike service stations are located at two central locations in Bernau: at the future tourist information information on Aschauer Straße and at the train station in Baumannstrasse. Equipped with different tools, including a foot air pump and tire lifter, the stations offer everything necessary for simple repairs. In addition, a QR code is attached to each pillar that refers to a website with useful usage videos in order to offer the cyclists optimal support.

The ceremonial opening was carried out by Irene Biebl-Daiber, the mayor of Bernau, Frederik Sperber from ADAC Südbayern and Claudia Rieling from the Tourist Info. The stations can be used free of charge around the clock, regardless of an ADAC membership. This means that all visitors to the region can benefit from this practical service.

Bernau am Chiemsee is one of the most popular places for cycling. The region is known for its attractive cycle paths, especially the Chiemsee cycle path and the Königssee-Bodensee-cycle path, which lead directly through the community. These new bike service stations are an important contribution to promoting cycling in the area and offering users the opportunity to easily wait their bikes.

At numerous locations, the stations are available, for example in Aschau im Chiemgau, Bad Füssing, Freyung, Germering, Illertissen, Munich, Berlin, Bremen, Cologne and Magdeburg. The stations are equipped with high -quality tools to support a variety of means of movement, including skateboards.
