Oberbayer meets star guitarist Jim Root-an unforgettable vacation moment!

Verona, Italien - Christian Pfeng, a 45-year-old upper Bavaria, recently had the unique luck of meeting his idol in a restaurant in Verona, James "Jim" Root. Jim Root, 53 years old and known as the guitarist of the metal band Slipknot, was in the city because the band had free days after a appearance in Interlaken (Switzerland) before performing in Ferrara on June 17th. The encounter between Pfeng and Root took place on Monday evening, June 16, in the L’Evangelista restaurant.

pfeng was on a short trip in Verona with his family, including his wife, daughter and her dog. Despite the iconic masks that are wearing slipknot, Pfeng Root recognized immediately. He had previously dealt intensively with the musician and recently looked at interviews and live performances by root without a mask. Although Pfeng was nervous at first and did not want to disturb, he waited for root to finish eating before he dared to take the brave step and addressed him.

The talks between Pfeng and Root were warm and included the cute dog Gustl, which root liked very much. The Oberbayer describes the encounter as an extraordinary experience that made his vacation unforgettable. Slipknot, founded in 1995, is known for her aggressive sound, theatrical masks and energetic appearances.
