The popular anime series “Freezing – After the End of the Journey” can now be seen on German television. It will be broadcast for the first time on ProSieben MAXX and the streaming platform Joyn. This series has quickly gained popularity in the anime community and deals with deep topics in life that touch many viewers.

The action begins after the group of heroes has achieved a decisive victory over the dark ruler. A special feature is the perspective of the elf Frieren, who is over 1000 years old. For them, the ten years the group spent on their mission is just a short period of time. However, fifty years after returning, she meets her aged companions again, causing her to reconsider the value of friendship and the passage of time.

Award-winning achievements

“Freeze” has emerged as an outstanding representative among current anime. The series won "Anime of the Year" at the 2025 Anime Trending Awards and received a total of four awards at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including Best Director and Best Drama. The number of nominations is impressive: “Freezing” received 29 nominations, more than any other anime series released in 2024. It even surpassed Solo Leveling, which became very popular at the same time and only received 13 nominations.

Special nominations for “Freezing” include “Best New Series,” “Best Drama,” “Best Animation,” “Best Director,” “Best Main Character” and “Best Score” – a clear recognition of the creative excellence that goes into this series.
