Quang Binh relies on tourism ambassador: A new age begins!

In the Phong Nha-Ke Bang area, a remarkable development in the tourism sector has emerged. Le Chieu Nguyen, deputy director of the PN KB tourism center, explains that the basic union now has 162 members. These members are not only well trained, but also equipped with technical skills and show a high degree of responsibility in dealing with tourists. A central element of this development is the initiative "Each member and every employee is a tourism ambassador".

The aim of this movement is to strengthen responsibility and attitude towards tourist care. This is done through the promotion of positive acts, an improvement in communication and through targeted advertising for the Quang Binh region. Particularly noteworthy is Mr. Ta Minh Tam, captain of the boat No. 125. With over 20 years of experience in driving boats on the son flow, he emphasizes the importance of professional and polite dealing with visitors.

The responsibility of the tourism ambassadors

Both Tam and his colleague Nguyen Thi Hang have returned several times. For example, Tam tourists returned around 50 million and important documents, while Hang found and brought back a wallet with 20 million and. These did their opinion that the return of property is not only a responsibility, but also a sign of friendliness.

As part of the initiative, 130 employees will actively work on the return of lost objects in 2024. The PN KB Tourism Center manages a total of 401 tourist boats, 175 photographers and 46 souvenir and beverage stands. All of these measures help to increase the quality of the travel destinations and to improve the competitiveness of the tourism products.

tourist highlights: Tien Son Cave

Another highlight in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang area is the Tien Son Cave, also known as the dry cave. This cave, which was discovered in 1935 and was originally referred to as Tien Cave, is about 1,000 meters from the front door to the Phong NHA Cave. However, due to the difficult access, the cave did not receive the attention it deserves. From December 21, 2023, the Tien Son Cave will be opened again after maintenance work and is ready to receive visitors.

Despite the current lack of awareness, the Tien Son Cave enables visitors to have a unique experience with their colorful stalactites and a "fairy tale"-like landscape. To explore the cave, visitors have to rise around 330 steps that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and rivers.

The admission price for the Tien Son Cave is 80,000 and per person. For those who want to explore both caves in one day, there is a boat tour package that costs 550,000 and for up to 12 guests. During the exploration of the cave it is recommended to handle stalagmites and stalactites carefully in order not to damage the sensitive structures.

These developments and highlights show how Quang Binh is also gaining in attractiveness as an emerging tourist destination. The combination of committed employees who represent the region as ambassadors and unique natural attractions such as the Tien Son Cave promises to significantly increase the number of tourists in the future.
