Quang Ninh: 29 blood donation heroes are honored – a strong sign!
Under the Red Voyage 2024 program, the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee honored notable individuals and households for their outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation on June 11, 2025. A total of 29 individuals and 12 households were honored who have made a name for themselves through their regular blood donations. The honor, organized in advance of the launch of the 2025 “Red Journey” program, includes certificates of merit, as well as financial rewards of VND 3,510,000 per person and VND 5,270,000 per household, as Vietnam.vn reported.
The requirements for the award are clearly defined: individuals must have donated blood at least 15 times, while households must reach this limit with 20 or more donations. The honoring event will be held in Ha Long on June 13, 2025, and the high number of honored individuals and households is expected to underline the sustainable development of the voluntary blood donation movement in Quang Ninh.
Blood donation campaign started
As part of the voluntary blood donation campaign launched in Ha Long on Sunday, organizers of the Red Trip Program and the Blood Donation Promotion Staff of Quang Ninh Province collected over 800 units of blood. The aim of the campaign is to receive a total of 5,500 blood units by the end of September 2025 VOV reported. Hoang Van Hai, Secretary of the Youth Association of Quang Ninh, highlighted the growing importance of this initiative and particularly emphasized the role of youth. Many citizens and entrepreneurs are also willing to donate blood and get actively involved.
In connection with this campaign, 22 exemplary blood donors were also honored, whose efforts set an example of solidarity and community spirit. The continued support and commitment of Quang Ninh residents shows how important blood donations are to providing healthcare and saving lives.
