The Aldiana Club in Side, Turkey will be closed from June 20, 2025. This short-term decision results from an escalating legal dispute with the owner, which was exacerbated by a recent ruling by a Turkish court. This was announced by Dertour Group, which does not provide any further details on the legal disputes. The ruling forces all guests staying at the facility to leave early, which has sparked concern among tourists.

The original plan was to continue operating the club until June 29th, but circumstances have forced an immediate closure. However, guests who are on site by this date can enjoy their vacation as planned.

Options for affected guests

To accommodate affected guests, Aldiana offers several options. The following options are available to all guests who want to arrive from June 20th:

• Umbuchung in ein anderes türkisches Ferienresort ohne Aufpreis.
• Stornierung mit vollständiger Rückerstattung und einem Reisegutschein über 100 Euro pro Person für die nächste Buchung.

As Dertour further announced, new bookings for the Aldiana Club Side are no longer possible. A team will also coordinate the relocation of guests to alternative resorts in the surrounding area, which will meet the club's current standards.

Background to the closure

The closure of the Aldiana Club in Side, which only opened in the summer of 2023, reduces the Aldiana portfolio to ten properties in six countries. According to Aldiana managing director Andreas Pospiech, there is a lack of a reliable planning basis because the owner is trying to ignore the agreed handover deadline.

Dertour Group has also assured that travel agency partners will be supported with rebookings and cancellations, including taking on commission. This measure is intended to help travelers in the difficult situation and ensure that rebookings go smoothly.
