Ski holidays in Tyrol are becoming more expensive: new record prices for ski passes!

With the upcoming 2025/2026 winter season, winter sports enthusiasts in Tyrol are facing a new challenge: the prices for ski passes are rising. Mercury reports that costs will increase by up to five percent compared to the previous year. For many ski areas in Tyrol, this means that prices will exceed the 80 euro mark for the first time.

In Sölden, for example, skiers have to be prepared to pay 83 euros for a day ski pass during the high season from Christmas to New Year and in February. Kitzbühel follows with a day ticket for 79.50 euros, while Gurgl and Ischgl have prices of 77 euros and 79 euros. Particularly noteworthy is the price of 81.50 euros for the day ticket in the Arlberg ski region, which also includes St. Anton. These increases are the result of increased costs, as Reinhard Klier from Wintersport Tirol AG explains.

Offers and discounts

Purchasing day tickets in advance is recommended to save money, although prices may vary depending on date, age and number of days. Early bird tickets in particular are cheaper than peak season prices. Customers have the option of purchasing day tickets online or directly at the ski area ticket offices.

Diverse options for winter sports enthusiasts

Tyrol's ski resorts offer a wide range of ticket prices and options, ideal for skiers of all ages. Season passes, which generally offer the best prices and additional benefits for avid winter sports enthusiasts, are also available. Ski info also recommends contacting the individual ski areas directly to receive the latest information on prices and offers.

For many skiers, February remains the cheapest month, apart from public holidays. Those who vacation in the off-season or in smaller ski areas can often benefit from cheaper rates. It remains to be seen how the new pricing structures will influence winter sports enthusiasts' decisions.
