Strandbad-Bucht, 22880 Wedel, Deutschland - The Elbe Teeny Cup of the Wedel-Schulau sailing club took place on July 12, 2025. This traditional competition was held in the picturesque lido bay in Schulau and attracted a total of 13 crews in the "Teeny" dinghy class, which consisted of 26 committed sailors. In parallel to the port festival of the city of Wedel, this event offered an exciting spectacle for both participants and spectators.

The betting conditions were challenging. While the first day of the competition was able to come up with strong wind and five races, Sunday was more modest with only two races in moderate wind. The overall winner was chosen in a total of seven races, which was Max Hümme and Magnus Decius from the Malente-Gremsmühlen sailing club.

The teen in the focus

The teen, a two-hand junction developed for children and adolescents, originated in the 1980s and was introduced by the German Sailor Association. The Wedel-Schulau sailing club (SVWS) can refer to a large fleet of teeny.
