Tui Cruises celebrates the urination of the Mein Schiff Flow in Monfalcone!

Monfalcone, Italien - Today, on May 30, 2025, Tui Cruises celebrated the swimming of the new building "Mein Schiff Flow" in the Monfalcone shipyard with Fincantieri. This significant ceremony marked another milestone in the development of the ship, which is planned for commissioning in the summer of 2026. To enable the swimming, around 130 million liters of water were flooded into the dry dock.

Several prominent representatives took part in the ceremony, including Daniele Fanara von Fincantieri, Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, and shipyard director Cristiano Bazzara. The godmother of the ship, Anna Russo, was also present and sealed the baptism of the cruise ship with her participation.

"Mein Schiff Flow" is the second of a total of two cruise ships of the next intuition class and is considered a sister ship by "Mein Schiff Relax", which was delivered in February 2023. The new ship has a weight of around 160,000 gross tonnes and was equipped with the latest technologies to minimize the environmental impact and to reduce energy consumption.

The ship was designed for operation with dual fuels, including LNG and MGO. This future-proof interpretation also enables the use of low-emission fuels such as organic or E-LNG. It is equipped with catalysts that correspond to the Euro 6 standards and have a steam turbine that uses the residual heat of the diesel generators. In addition, an electrical land current connection is provided, so that the operation in the port is almost emission -free.
