Vietnam: Intelligent tourism ecosystems revolutionize the industry!
Rum Ho hamlet, Quang Binh, Vietnam - The Vietnamese government is intensifying its efforts to digital transformation in the tourism sector in order to create a synchronized and uniform intelligent tourism ecosystem. The aim is to develop common digital platforms for data concentration and synchronization that are used in three essential areas: state administration, business activities in the field of tourist services and the improvement of the tourist experience. Loudvietnam.vnIn this context, Resolution 82/NQ-CP and guideline 08/CT-TTG were adopted.
A central aspect of this initiative is the development of several digital platforms. This includes the Vietnamese tourism database system that manages information about travel companies, accommodation companies, travel guides and tourist attractions. Other important tools are the software for statistical reporting and the national tourism application "Vietnam Travel", which serves as a multi-service platform for tourists, including information, bookings and payments.
Innovative platforms and training courses
In addition to the "Vietnam Travel" app, Viet Card-an intelligent travel card for cashless payments-is integrated into the platform. The application “tourism management and business” supports tourism companies in maintaining customer contacts and enabling online payments. An electronic ticket system and a multimedia guide system are also planned to optimize ticket sales and provide information on tourists.
Another focus of the strategy is to support training for local tourism facilities and companies to promote digital transformation. Specifically, “guidelines for digital transformation in the tourism industry” are developed and digital communication channels such as websites and social networks are funded to make Vietnamese tourism visible internationally. The websitevietnam.travel, who took second place in Southeast Asia in March 2025, plays an important role here.
Customer -oriented business models
Another aspect of the digital transformation is the shift towards a customer -oriented business model based on a digital value chain. This development requires long -term strategies and innovations in the organization and in the business model. Loudvietnamtourism.vnIt enables tourism companies to interact directly with tourists in virtual space and see their reviews and comments.
The digital transformation has shortened the connection between the residents and the tourist market, emphasizes Ms. Son. Nevertheless, many small and medium -sized companies (SMEs) face challenges when accessing technology and capital. Tran Xuan Cuong, director of Netin Travel, emphasizes the importance of digital transformation to discover new travel destinations and to support the villagers, which have been trained in the use of digital applications since 2022.
In order to promote digital development, BUI Trung Nghia, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, calls for priorities for intelligent tourism. The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Ha van Sieu, also underlines the need for an accelerated digital transformation. Vietnam is aiming to receive 25-28 million international visitors by 2025 and 35 million by 2030.
