Wangerland loses creative marketing director: Strangmann leaves!
Larissa Strangmann is leaving Wangerland Touristik GmbH (WTG) after six years and will embark on new career paths in mid-July. Her future position is currently unknown. Under her leadership, the marketing department has made significant progress, including the development of the Wangerland brand and the redesign of the website wangerland.de as well as the initiation of the Wangerländer Deichleuchte event. Ralf Ewen, deputy managing director of WTG, praised Strangmann's creativity and commitment in her role. NWZonline
Strangmann's decision to leave WTG comes after a personnel change in management. Torsten Riedel was appointed as the new managing director at the end of April after Armin Kanning left the company. The WTG team regrets Strangmann's resignation and would like to thank her for her cooperation.
Sustainable projects in focus
In parallel to the changes within the company, Wangerland has caused a stir at the national level by submitting several sustainable projects for the 2023 federal competition for sustainable tourism destinations. The community is proud that some of these projects have already progressed to the second phase of the competition.
The projects submitted include garbage collection campaigns, strengthening the national park partnership and a partner network for barrier-free offers. Particularly noteworthy are the green accommodations, such as the Green Tiny houses in Hooksiel, as well as the award of the North Sea campsite Hooksiel as an eco-camping. Another innovative approach is dike lighting, which is seen as an environmentally friendly alternative to classic fireworks.
In addition, Wangerland has launched existing exchange programs with other German destinations to exchange ideas and strategies for sustainable tourism. The municipality congratulates all the destinations that made it to the final and continues to strive for the goal of being a green tourism region in Germany. wangerland.de
