siargao is full of epic and iconic places and attractions. However, since it is a fairly small island, you would not expect to find many hidden jewels like this epic abandoned lighthouse on the Pacifico Beach.

In this guide, I will sketch everything you need to know about this epic little lighthouse, including the arrival of what to expect and how it is to climb it!

About the Siargao-Leuchtturm

The Siargao lighthouse is the only lighthouse on the island to my knowledge. We discovered it when we explored the island by bike and stopped by the Pacifico Beach.

Apparently this lighthouse has some names, including Siargao Lighthouse, Pacifico Lighthouse and Tigasao Lighthouse.

This impressive, white lighthouse has a spiral staircase that leads upwards that you can climb. The view from above is breathtaking and offers a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean.

The structure has been quite run down and I could imagine that it has been left for some time.

Where is the abandoned lighthouse on Siargao?

You will find the Siargao lighthouse at the extreme northern end of Pacifico Beach. This beach is quite far from General Luna and takes about 50 minutes to get here with a motorcycle.

When you drive to the northern end of the beach, see the Pacifico lighthouse directly around the bend that protrudes over green bushes near the headland.

How do I get here

For the independent discoverers, rent a bike in General Luna for between 250 and 350 pesos per day. In this way I explored a large part of Siargao during my visits.

To get to the Siargao lighthouse, you should take the CircumFerential Road of the island to the mainland to pass the curve past the Magpupfungko Rock Pools and then turn right when you arrive in San Isidro (there are signs that indicate the way). Pacifico). This trip is very attractive, past rice fields, coconut plantations and picturesque villages.

What you can expect from the abandoned lighthouse on Siargao

As soon as you arrive at the abandoned Siargao lighthouse, you would like to climb the top! From the tip of the stairs you have a great view, but I decided to climb to the top of the bar.

The steel rail is very rusty in some places, so I would not trust that it will keep me from falling out!

The view is pretty breathtaking. We visited on a day with a pumping surf and watched how she rolled in for a good half hour before we went down!
