The region recorded a positive recovery in tourism in 2022. From January to November, around 7.5 million guests were counted in the Black Forest, which represents an increase of 61 percent compared to the previous year. Challenges for the industry
Despite these positive numbers, there are challenges. Many companies are struggling with shortened opening hours and closures due to a lack of employees. The industry in particular is under pressure when it comes to training and promoting staff. The Schwarzwald Genuss-Award kuckuck 2023 is awarded to a company that is particularly committed to this important task.
