The focus in the coming years should be less on unbridled growth and more on quality assurance and development. Michel Weber emphasized that the existing tourism offerings must be evaluated and optimized in a constructive and critical manner. Another important project planned for 2025 is the development of a tourism value creation study.

Financial successes and future projects

The 2024 financial year ended with a profit of 149,202 francs, while TTST's reserves increased to 1,152,754 francs. For financial planning, investments in development projects are planned from 2026 to 2030. Weber and Soni Avci were confirmed in office for three more years, while Barbara Egli was elected as second vice president.

A special highlight for the Thun region is the hosting of the Women's EURO 2025. Thun will act as the host city for three group games in the Women's European Football Championship, including games with Iceland, Finland, Spain and Belgium in the Arena Thun. Sustainability and community projects

Thun has set itself the goal of sustainably promoting women's football and launching organizational projects for girls and women. As part of EURO 2025, a fan zone will be set up in Thun from July 2nd to 10th, where visitors can expect both football activities and a gastronomic offer. A legacy initiative is also being implemented that focuses on promoting women's football as well as training and integration programs for girls.

A mobile playing field will tour the city and will be available to the public free of charge. Around 120 volunteers are also being sought for the duration of the tournament. The ticket prices for the games also include free use of public transport in Switzerland on match day. The city of Thun is planning to ensure that the football games run smoothly and an attractive festival for all citizens.
