The autumn holidays are just around the corner and many Germans are planning their travel destinations for the upcoming holidays. Current booking data from TUI and search queries on Skyscanner show both interesting trends and popular destinations. At the top of the list of the most popular travel destinations for the 2025 autumn holidays is Antalya, which has overtaken Mallorca. Loud Marker Antalya offers mild temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees, warm sea water and cheaper prices that make it an attractive destination.
TUI product manager Steffen Boehnke has already confirmed that the trend towards season extensions is continuing. This is also reflected in the current list of the top 10 autumn destinations published by TUI:

The Costa de la Luz has now established itself in the top 10 and impresses with its sandy beaches and mild climate. Particularly noteworthy is the over 30 percent increase in bookings for Hurghada, indicating that many holidaymakers particularly value the advantages of less crowded locations and the associated lower prices.

Searches show that Spain remains at the top, followed by Turkey and Italy. Here are the top 10 most popular countries by search:

Palma de Mallorca and Antalya in particular are among the most searched cities. September 8th was the day with the most searches, indicating high interest from travelers. The peak departure time for fall break is between October 6th and 13th, with many searches for departures occurring between October 3rd and November 9th.

For those looking for more warm travel destinations in October, recommended TUI a number of locations including:
