All-inclusive vacation: This is how Generation Z ticks the travel trend!

Generation Z is increasingly showing interest in all-inclusive vacations. A recent survey by Expedia of 168 people aged 18 to 24 found that the trend for such types of vacations is growing among young travelers. This age group includes people born between 1997 and 2010. How nordbayern.de reported, 61 percent of respondents prefer all-inclusive hotels.

The survey also shows that 30 percent of participants have a more positive image of all-inclusive hotels compared to last year. These figures suggest that attitudes towards such holiday offers are changing.

Reasons for the popularity of all-inclusive offers

The reasons for the preference for all-inclusive vacation destinations are complex. 49 percent of those surveyed said that not having to search for a restaurant at their vacation destination was a decisive factor. In addition, 42 percent of participants feel that all-inclusive offers reduce their stress. Susanne Dopp, press spokeswoman for Expedia, describes all-inclusive as an “all-inclusive, worry-free package” and as a luxury that is particularly attractive to young people.

Popular destinations for this type of vacation are Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum in Turkey, as well as Mallorca, Crete, Rhodes in Greece and Hurghada in Egypt. These places seem to have a special appeal for Generation Z.

A mixed feedback

It's also notable that TikTok users regularly document their all-inclusive experiences, which may contribute to the perception of this type of vacation. These reports could further boost the popularity of all-inclusive options and provide a glimpse into Generation Z's expectations and experiences.

Given the limited significance of the survey - the number of participants was relatively small - it remains to be seen how the trend towards all-inclusive holidays will develop. However, it is clear that the stress and planning concerns associated with organizing travel continue to play a major role for many young people.
