artistic discoveries and challenges
The experiences of other artists show how valuable drawing is when traveling. Depending on the destination, different techniques are used, as described in different work. An author who hiked the Camino de Santiago from Smport to Finisterre in 2000 reflects on his travel experiences, in which he always had paintings. In his drawings, he not only captures the visual impressions, but also the tones, smells and the atmosphere of the places, which gives him greater drawing freedom. Often it is not drawn directly in front of the objects so as not to stick to the optical impressions too much. The creative freedom makes it possible to capture these valuable moments.
On his travels, the author has created a variety of impressive drawings that serve as the basis for large -format images. Examples are works of his experiences in Mexico, Peru, Nepal and Tibet, including his first encounter with nature or cultural moments.
