The search for the perfect cruise is more and more attracted to vacationers, and the two providers Aida Cruises and TUI Cruises (Mein Schiff) are the biggest stars in the cruise sky. According to Infranken since their foundation has been successfully established in the market in the 1990s and 2000s. AIDA, founded in 1996, has its headquarters in Rostock and currently runs 11 ships, including the largest ship Aidacosma, which offers space for up to 6,600 passengers. My ship, founded in 2008 and with its headquarters in Hamburg, has 10 ships in the fleet, with the largest ship, Mein Schiff Relax, can record up to 4,000 passengers.

Both cruise providers offer a varied routing portfolio that includes the world's oceans from the Baltic Sea to the Caribbean. Departures in Germany include Hamburg, Kiel and Bremerhaven. AIDA also offers world trips while my ship has cruises to North America, but does not offer any world tours.

At AIDA, the journey, including Rail & Fly, can be booked in the AIDA Premium tariff at no extra charge and at the Vario tariff for an additional charge. In contrast, my ship offers pure, plus, pro and VIP per more comprehensive premium inclusive services, including a wide range of à la carte and buffet restaurants as well as branded drinks at no additional costs.

Both providers have shuttle services from the train station to the port, which makes the journey easier. The cabin offers are also knitted differently: While AIDA offers a variety of cabinet types and numerous family and single cabins, my ship trumps with spacious, comfortable cabins in which an espresso machine is available in all categories.

The leisure and entertainment approach is differentiated in both shipping companies. AIDA places a strong focus on an active leisure program and offers a lively evening program, while my ship offers a more relaxed and classic cruise experience with a focus on wellness and relaxation. Travelers on AIDA tend to be younger and more active, while my ship is more aimed at couples and older individual travelers.

Both ships present themselves with a diverse culinary offer and opportunities to book land excursions, whereby price differences vary depending on the travel destination and tariff. For guests who are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday in a comfortable ambience, my ship will be an attractive choice, while travelers who appreciate flexibility and a sporty-active program are in good hands with AIDA.
