Motorcycle friends Wollmar: 1,500 euros collected for children's hospice!

The Wollmar motorcycle friends recently organized an informative evening with a travel report about the famous Route 66. Around 100 guests gathered in the village community center to listen to the exciting stories and impressive pictures by Frank Hähnel and Nicole Grunwald. The lecture lasted an hour and a half and offered those present a fascinating insight into the experiences of the two motorcyclists.

Following the lecture, there was a social exchange where participants were able to get together over food and drinks. Popular snacks such as Bockwurst and Mettwurst in a roll were offered, which contributed to the pleasant atmosphere of the evening. The total proceeds from the event amounted to an impressive 1,500 euros, all of which were donated to the German Children's Hospice Association.

Support for families in need

The collected amount was specifically handed over to the Marburg outpatient children's and youth hospice service. This service offers free support for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families within a 50-kilometer radius of Marburg. These important support services are invaluable to affected families and enable them to find help and comfort during a difficult time. Further information about the service's offerings is available on the Wolfsburg Hospice website, which provides detailed insights into their outpatient children's hospice work.

The commitment of the Wollmar Motorcycle Friends shows how community events not only contribute to enriching village life, but can also generate significant support for social projects. Organizing such events raises awareness of the needs of seriously ill children and their families.

This initiative and the generous donations from guests demonstrate the solidarity and compassion within the community and show that each individual can make a contribution to help others.
