Rock am Ring 2025: Traffic jams and anticipation at the Nürburgring!
The first campers have arrived at the Nürburgring to secure the best places for this year's Rock am Ring festival. Traffic has been jammed on the federal roads around the Nürburgring since Wednesday morning, while anticipation for the festival, which will take place from June 6th to 8th, 2025, is increasing immeasurably. The organizers have announced that access to the campsites and the festival site will be well signposted. The police also advise festival visitors to pay attention to signs and diversions to avoid delays. According to [SWR], units report several accidents, but there were no injuries.
The Rock am Ring Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and the demand is not insignificant: out of a total of 90,000 tickets available, most were already sold out at the beginning of March. Campsites opened at 12 p.m. on Wednesday and will be available until noon on Monday, June 9, 2025. Fans can look forward to a warm-up party in the event center on Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m., with performances by Mambo Kurt, Kontrust and Frog Bog Blechband. The actual festival begins on Friday afternoon.
Festival highlights and weather forecast
The line-up for this year's event is impressive: over 100 bands will perform on four stages. Headliners include Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, The Prodigy, Falling in Reverse and Korn. In addition, many other artists such as Beatsteaks, Rise Against, Sleep Token, K.I.Z, Kontra K and Feine Sahne Fischfilet will conquer the stages. The opening will take place on the Utopia Stage, with one of the first bands to perform being Knocked Loose at 4:30 p.m. However, the weather forecast is mixed, with rain, showers and thunderstorms expected throughout the festival.
Tickets and camping options
Weekend festival tickets, valid for all three days, are required to access the festival. Day tickets are not available. Festival goers will also need special camping and parking tickets to stay overnight on site. In addition to classic camping, there are various options that meet the needs of fans:

For day visitors there is the Weekend Car Pass, which allows parking from Friday to Sunday, but does not allow overnight stays in the vehicle. Tickets for the festival are sold via the official Eventim ticket exchange, where tickets can also be resold. The culture pass with a credit of 100 euros can also be used to purchase Rock am Ring tickets. For a more comfortable experience, there is also the VIP upgrade, which offers access to exclusive areas.
