Leipzig City Festival 2025: A festival for the whole family!
The 32nd Leipzig City Festival is just around the corner and will take place from June 6th to 8th, 2025. It is the largest open-air event in the region and is also one of the most important city festivals in Saxony. Around 300,000 visitors are expected for this exciting event, which spans seven locations and five large stages. Particularly noteworthy is the return of the Burgplatz as an event location, which will play a central role in the festival.
The diverse music program provides entertainment and features well-known artists. Bands like Anstandslos & durchgeschnellt, Martin B. and Yamas will be heard. Tribute bands like Remode and Spice4ever provide additional highlights. The Federal Police Orchestra Berlin will also perform. The city festival will officially open on Friday, June 6th, at 7:15 p.m. in the Ur-Krostitzer beer garden, followed by a varied program.
Artistic program items
The program on Friday includes performances by Mazze Wiesner and band as well as The Clogs and Remode. On Saturday, visitors can look forward to dances from various dance schools, Edo Sparks and The E.N.D. be happy. Sunday will end with an impressive performance by the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Johann-Sebastian Bach Music School, Kevin Neon, Spice4ever and The Firebirds.
In addition to musical entertainment, the city festival will also offer numerous family and children's activities, including the popular TOGGO tour with hands-on activities for children, clown and magic shows as well as performances by local dance clubs and ensembles that will enrich the colorful hustle and bustle.

The five large stages are spread across the entire city and offer a variety of experiences:

- Freiberger Lounge auf dem Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz
- Radeberger Sommergarten auf dem Augustusplatz
- Irische Bühne auf dem Nikolaikirchhof
The Freiberger Lounge promises a beer garden atmosphere and the Radeberger Summer Garden invites you to linger with DJ events and live music. An Irish village will be built in St. Nicholas Churchyard, where folk sounds will be heard. The children's paradise on Augustusplatz offers numerous hands-on activities for the little guests.
